I started WithoutFragrance after developing an allergy to perfume. Suddenly, fragrances in everyday products that I used to enjoy began to trigger allergic reactions, leaving me with watery eyes, skin irritation, and skin rashes.
Frustrated by the lack of options in mainstream stores, I delved into the world of ingredient labels and product formulations. To my surprise, I discovered that many seemingly “unscented” or “fragrance-free” products still contained hidden fragrances or masking agents.
I have tested hundreds of fragrance-free products, some of which have been outstanding while others not so much. It was pretty challenging to find fragrance-free products a few years back, but fortunately, the fragrance-free market has been growing rapidly, and more fragrance-free products are hitting the shelves. Unfortunately, many brands label their products as fragrance-free even though they contain scents, extracts, and other “natural ingredients” that can cause an allergic reaction.
